What To Expect
Shoppers may not be interested in compact and midsize coupes, but no one told Mercedes-Benz that. The German luxury brand has introduced an all-new model with the CLE. It arrives as a replacement for the C-Class and E-Class coupes. Here’s what we can expect to see from the new CLE.
On the outside, the all-new 2024 Mercedes-Benz CLE-Class combines design elements from the new C-Class and E-Class to be a sleek coupe. The front end features large oval headlights that travel up the front fender, a large oval grille, and a sharply styled front fascia.
The new CLE has a relatively high beltline that sweeps up as it reaches the C-pillar and prominent body lines. The rear end features triangular taillights that are connected by a trim piece, a spoiler that’s built into the trunk lid, square exhaust tips, and a chiseled rear bumper. The overall design of the CLE looks sleek, upscale, and sporty.
The interior design of the new CLE matches what we’ve seen from recent vehicles from Mercedes-Benz. The high-end cabin features a large central touchscreen that’s slightly angled toward the driver, three large circular air vents at the top of the dashboard, and a digital instrument cluster attached to the front of the dash.
A flat-bottomed steering wheel and aluminum pedals are sportier touches on the inside. The flowing dash, lengthy center console, lack of physical controls, and upscale materials give the CLE the same luxurious looks as Mercedes-Benz’s other cars.
When it comes to tech features, the 2024 CLE will come with an 11.9-inch touchscreen, a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, a Burmester audio system, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and the latest version of the automaker’s MBUX infotainment software. MBUX brings native apps like Angry Birds, TikTok, Zoom, and Webex. Music services like Spotify, Apple Music, and Tidal are also included.

2024 Mercedes-Benz CLE-Class Release Date
The 2024 Mercedes-Benz CLE should be arriving in dealerships soon. We expect to see the vehicle drop this spring, as Mercedes has promised to launch in the first Quarter of 2024.
With the CLE measuring 191 inches in length, it’s closer to being a midsize car than a compact one. That means the CLE won’t have a lot of competitors when it goes on sale. The CLE will compete against the Audi A5, BMW 4-Series, and Chevrolet Corvette.
