Audi A5 Preview

What To Expect

The current generation Audi A5 has been in production since 2016, so it’s not a surprise that we could be seeing a redesigned model soon. Although the upcoming model hasn’t been revealed yet, Audi hinted at the forthcoming redesign in a recent annual report. Details are still scarce, but here’s what we know about the redesigned 2025 Audi A5 so far.

A recent corporate report from Audi revealed their plans to redesign the A5 “in the second half of the year.” That doesn’t tell us much, but the report also mentioned that the upcoming A5, along with a redesigned Q5, will ride on the brand’s new Premium Platform Combustion platform. We’re still a ways away from knowing what the redesigned A5 will look like, but Audi tends to style their offerings in this segment rather conservatively. They might buck that trend with the next-gen A5, but we’re expecting an exterior design that’s decidedly Audi.

We’re expecting the same degree of modern Audi sophistication in the A5’s interior, but we’ll know for sure upon its reveal. The Audi Digital Cockpit is likely to be featured prominently, as well as a large central screen. The current model features goodies like a wi-fi hotspot, integrated Amazon Alexa, and wireless smartphone connectivity, and we expect that roster to be expanded with the redesign.

2025 Audi A5 Price & Release Date

Audi hasn’t offered an official release date for the redesigned A5 other than their “second half of the year” ETA. We’re referring to it as a 2025 model, but there’s a chance it’ll arrive as a 2026 model, especially if it debuts in the European market before coming stateside.

We’ll get a better idea of pricing once we learn the comprehensiveness of the redesign, but current A5 pricing ranges from $49,495 to $65,795.

The 2025 Audi A5 will compete with the BMW 4-SeriesMercedes-Benz CLE-Class, and the Genesis G70.
