What To Expect

Electric vehicles like the Escalade IQ and Celestiq may entice early adopters and ultra-wealthy buyers, but they won’t help increase EV adoption across the country. For that, Cadillac needs an entry-level EV that’s relatively affordable. That’s the role of the all-new 2025 Cadillac OPTIQ, which arrives as Cadillac’s new base EV. Here’s what we know about the 2025 OPTIQ.

The 2025 Cadillac OPTIQ features a sporty, high-end design that matches the automaker’s other EVs. The OPTIC has elongated daytime rung lights that follow the shape of a 7, a slime shield-shaped grille, a wide air intake, and an angular front fascia. The side profile of the OPTIC reveals a sweeping roofline, a dramatic body line that connects the front fender to the taillights, and a floating roof design with blacked-out fenders a blacked-out roof. The rear end of the OPTIQ has split taillights, a large rear spoiler, a tiered liftgate, and a chunky bumper.

On the inside, the 2025 Cadillac OPTIQ has an attractive interior design with modern tech features. The compact electric SUV comes with an enormous, curved screen on the dash and has a slim row of controls on the bottom of the center console. The OPTIQ’s cabin also has a steering wheel with touch-capacitive controls, slim air vents, a flowing dashboard, and an asymmetrical center console that looks like it’s floating. Cadillac fits the OPTIQ’s interior with some recycled materials as a nod toward the environment.

Every 2025 Cadillac OPTIQ will come with a 33-inch screen that houses the digital instrument cluster and the central display. Cadillac hasn’t released a full list of features for the OPTIQ, but the EV will come with a 19-speaker AKG audio system, Google built-in, and a Wi-Fi hotspot.
