Chevrolet Blazer EV

Model Preview

The Chevrolet Blazer EV is arriving as an all-new vehicle for the 2024 model year. For the electric midsize SUV’s second model year on sale, we expect it to be a carryover model for 2025.

Chevrolet isn’t expected to make any changes to the Blazer EV’s exterior design for 2025. The Blazer EV’s exterior design varies depending on the trim. All Blazer EVs have sporty exterior designs with sharp elements, athletic stances, and angular flares.

The base 2LT trim has a slim grille that connects the daytime running lights and a closed-off front air intake, while the RS gets a blacked-out front air intake that’s meant to mimic a large grille in a gas-powered car. The sporty SS trim gets a unique front end that’s far more aggressive with angular wings and prominent cutouts. The back of the Blazer EV features r-shaped taillights, a small rear spoiler, and a prominent rear bumper.

On the inside, the 2025 Blazer EV will share the same design as the 2024 model. The Blazer EV features a high-tech design with some sporty touches. The dashboard features two large displays that are integrated into a single panel. The SUV doesn’t have many physical controls, while circular air vents add a sportier touch to the dash. The RS and SS trims are available with two-tone interior designs with red accents. The Blazer EV will be a two-row midsize SUV and should offer generous accommodations in both rows for passengers.

Chevrolet hasn’t outlined all of the 2024 Blazer EV’s features yet, so we don’t know what kind of tech the 2025 model will come with. We suspect that both model years will have similar tech. We do know that a 17.7-inch display will be standard on the electric SUV, as well an 11-inch digital instrument cluster. We expect tech features like Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, a Wi-Fi hotspot, Bluetooth, and a wireless charging pad to be available.

Information on the Blazer EV’s powertrains isn’t available yet. The range-topping SS model will come with a 557-horsepower powertrain and come with all-wheel drive. The model will be able to get to 60 mph in less than 4.0 seconds. The mid-level RS comes with standard AWD and is available with rear-wheel drive. Chevrolet hasn’t said what the base 2LT trim will come with. Official range figures aren’t available yet, but Chevy claims the Blazer EV will be able to travel between 279 miles and 290 miles.

When it comes to safety features, the 2025 Blazer EV should come with the Chevrolet Safety Assist suite as standard. The suite includes automatic emergency braking, pedestrian detection, lane-keeping assist, lane departure warning, forward collision warning, and automatic high-beam assist. Features like blind spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, adaptive cruise control, and traffic sign recognition should be available.

Pricing & Release Date

With the 2024 Blazer EV set to arrive at dealerships in late 2023, we expect the 2025 model to go on sale next summer. According to GM Authority, 2025 Blazer EV production is set to begin in June 2024.

Pricing for the 2025 Blazer EV could increase over the 2024 model. Currently, the Blazer EV’s pricing starts at $56,715 including destination.

The Blazer EV will compete against electric SUVs like the Hyundai Ioniq 5Kia EV6Ford Mustang Mach-EVolkswagen ID.4, and Nissan Ariya.
