What To Expect

We have it on good authority that the 2025 Ford Bronco Sport is in for a mild refresh. Spy shots captured the exterior of the vehicle testing some months ago, now the inside of the heavily camouflaged SUV has been caught on camera, and there appear to be changes in store.

According to spy shots from Ford Authority, the Bronco Sport is in for a few interior tweaks, and appears to have the same new screen system as the current Ford Escape model. Plus, exterior side cameras in the mirrors give the impression that the latest edition of the Bronco Sport will have Ford’s 360-degree camera system.

We don’t expect many changes to the exterior beyond a few tweaks, and maybe some new lighting designs in this mid-cycle refresh, and for the most part, this is true.

Except, there have been sightings of a new version of the Badlands trim, which has a rugged new look, and has been caught testing without its camo, according to Carbuzz. This rugged trim has a few things that make it stand out from other Bronco Sport models, like skid plates, all-terrain tires, a 4×4 system, and a terrain mode selector.

2025 Ford Bronco Sport Engine & Specs

The current Ford Bronco Sport is a subcompact 5-seater SUV that measures 172.7 inches long, 74 inches wide, and 71 inches tall. Five people will feel cramped in the interior, but it’s just right for four. Cargo space shines on the Bronco Sport though, with 32.5 cubic feet behind the rear seats and 65.2 cubes with it folded. We assume these figures won’t change for the 2025 model year.

We haven’t heard any information about the new Ford Bronco Sport powertrain yet, but since it’s only getting a mild refresh we expect it to ride on the same system as the current model on sale. The 2024 Bronco Sport is powered by a turbocharged 1.5-liter three-cylinder engine that develops 181 horsepower and 190 lb-ft of torque. You can also step up to the Badlands Edition, which carries a more powerful 2.0-liter four-cylinder turbo that makes 250 hp and 277 lb-ft of torque. Both engines are paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission and four-wheel drive with a terrain selector.

2025 Ford Bronco Sport Safety

When it comes to safety, we expect the 2025 Bronco Sport to have all the latest features. The current model on sale includes lane-keeping assist, blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, automatic high beams, and automatic emergency braking. Optional features currently include adaptive cruise control, evasive steering assist, and navigation, which we hope to see become standard on the new model. We don’t expect many changes to this list for 2025.

2025 Ford Bronco Sport Price

There’s been no word on pricing so far from Ford regarding the Bronco Sport. With a mild refresh, we expect the price of the 2025 Bronco Sport to be higher than the current model. The 2024 Bronco Sport pricing ranges between $32,825 and $39,985.

The 2025 Ford Bronco Sport should compete against other small, SUVs such as the Subaru Crosstrek, Jeep Wrangler, Jeep Compass, and the Ford Escape.

2025 Ford Bronco Sport Release Date

We aren’t sure when we will see the new 2025 Ford Bronco Sport hit the ground, but we expect to see it by the summer of 2024, though there’s no official release set from Ford.
