The 2025 Honda Odyssey Now in its eighth model year without a full redesign, the Honda Odyssey might surprise by not just surviving, but actually being a desirable 3-row SUV alternative. After a 2021 refresh, the 2025 Odyssey gets another update to stay competitive against the last remaining gas-fueled minivans in the U.S.: the Toyota Sienna, Chrysler Pacifica, and Kia Carnival.
With the changes being styling-based, we expect to see new headlights, perhaps a new front fascia, new wheel designs, and matching updates around the back to taillights and liftgate. Insind we expect to find more up-to-date technology features. The current Odyssey on sale comes with just an 8-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, SiriusXM, and HD Radio. It has a number of USB ports and the CabinControl feature which allows passengers to control the audio and rear climate controls through the Honda App. Higher trims come with many more features than base trims, but we hope to see this change in the 2025 model.
2025 Honda Odyssey Redesign
Design tweaks may give previous Odyssey buyers a tiny reason to consider a new one. We expect the 2025 model to wear an updated grille, with a restyled lower front fascia. Around the side, new wheel styles may appear across the trim lineup. Updated technology is part of the 2025 Odyssey package, and we’re hoping Honda not only advances Honda Sensing driver assist equipment, but the interior screens, too.
2025 Honda Odyssey Interior
Sometimes, when an automaker gets it right the first time, it only needs minor adjustments to keep things fresh. That’s been the case for the current-generation Honda Odyssey, which receives another refresh for 2025. Although the Odyssey is starting to show its age, the three-row family-mobile is very spacious — an important place to start for a minivan. What makes the now eight-years-old Odyssey rise above is the way it complements those traits with quick-for-a-minivan V-6 acceleration and best-in-class crash test safety results.

Add in the expected resale value that often accompanies buying a Honda and you can see why the Odyssey remains appealing for buyers seeking a minivan for their people-hauling needs. Where the 2025 Odyssey falls short is with fuel economy, driving range, AWD availability, and technology. We don’t expect the new model to offer an AWD variant like the Toyota Sienna and Chrysler Pacifica, two alternatives that incidentally both have hybrid variants. Even so, with the 2025 Odyssey’s updated tech, it should be ready for another couple years of minivan battle before a redesign we hope is on the way.

2025 Honda Odyssey Hybrid Engine
The 2025 Honda Odyssey is 205.2 inches long, and 78.5 inches wide, which is standard for the class, but its 118-inch wheelbase is short compared to competitors like the Kia Carnival and Toyota Sienna. The shorter wheelbase doesn’t leave you lacking in space, however, as there’s plenty of interior space for both passengers and cargo. Offering 40.9 inches of legroom and 39.5 inches of headroom, the second row is a spacious place to be. A push-button allows the second-row seats to slide for easy access to the third row where passengers get 38.6 inches of legroom and 38 inches of headroom.
