2025 Jeep Recon What To Expect
Jeep is on a mission to become a worldwide leader in the electrified SUV space, and they’re starting now, by announcing a plan for its next generation of fully electric “4xe” vehicles. The first all-new electric vehicle is slated to be the 2024 Jeep Wagoneer S and to follow, the 2025 Jeep Recon.
The new electric Jeep will only be available as a battery electric vehicle – so don’t wait around for a gas-powered model to follow. Don’t worry though, the automaker plans to keep its rugged reputation while going zero-emission.
Enhanced off-roading features will come with the 2024 Recon according to a Stellantis press release, such as trail-rated capability with the Jeep Selec-Terrain traction management system, e-locker axle technology, underbody protection, tow hooks, and off-road tires. The Recon will also come with a one-touch powertop, removable doors and glass, and the latest generation Uconnect system, including travel guides of notable off-road trails.
On the outside, the 2024 Recon is reminiscent of the current Jeep Renegade in shape and the Grand Cherokee in stature, but we don’t have any confirmation of its specs as of yet. The SUV will be a midsize vehicle and should seat five.
2025 Jeep Recon Engine & Specs
Not a lot is known about the upcoming Jeep Recon other than it will ride on Stellantis’ STLA Large Platform, along with the Wagoneer S and the upcoming electric Dodge Charger. We aren’t sure what the battery capacity or range looks like since we don’t know the specifics of the motors.
However, Jeep has said the BEV will be powerful enough to tackle tough trails, along with help from underbody protection, Jeep’s Selec-Terrain traction management system, and e-locker axle technology.
2025 Jeep Recon Safety
As far as safety goes for the new electric Jeep Recon, we haven’t heard the roster yet, but we’re assuming it will have all the bells and whistles we’ve come to expect from a new EV including automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, and a forward collision warning.

We don’t have any word on pricing for the 2025 Recon yet, but we will update this page as details become available.
2025 Jeep Recon Release Date
The 2025 Jeep Recon was announced to the public in early 2023. Production is slated to begin this year, with the Recon hitting dealerships ASAP. According to Autoweek, Jeep CEO Antonio Filosa has said they’re trying to get the Recon to dealers before this year is out.
The Jeep Recon will compete against other electric SUV models such as the new Chevrolet Blazer EV and the Kia EV9, the Jeep Wrangler 4xe, the Dodge Hornet, and the Volvo XC40 Recharge.
