What To Expect
We’re not exactly sure what to make of the recent spy shots of the new 2025 Kia Electric Pickup truck. It appears to be a different model than the 2025 Kia Tasman, which is going to be a global truck designed to compete with the Ford Ranger and the Toyota Hilux. Like the Tasman, we’re not sure if the newest edition to the Kia lineup will come to US shores.
According to Motor1, the latest glimpse of the truck, though heavily camouflaged, reveals a truck with the headlights and mirrors of the EV9 and the taillights of the Santa Cruz, Hyundai‘s truck. There are other differences with the Tasman, too, leading us to further believe this is Kia’s promised second truck, such as door-mounted mirrors, flush door handles, and rounded wheel arches.
2025 Kia Electric Truck Engine & Specs
There is no indication of what will drive the new electric truck, but we do know that it’s slated to be electric. We expect the truck to share technology with the EV9.
We don’t have specific specifications for the 2025 Kia Electric Truck, but we expect it to be small to mid-sized.
2025 Kia Electric Truck Safety
There is no indication of what safety features may be present on the new 2025 Kia Electric Truck, but we expect all the basic safety features found in other Kia models.
2025 Kia Electric Truck Price
There’s no word on the price range for the new 2025 Kia Electric Truck. We expect it to start around the $40,000 mark as a smaller electric vehicle.
We think that the new Kia electric truck will compete against other small to mid-size trucks and electric vehicles like the Rivian R1T. There’s not much competition in this segment a this time in the US market.
