What To Expect
The 2025 Kia EV6 is set to arrive for the new model year with a refresh. Here’s what shoppers can expect to see with the updated EV6.
On the outside, the 2025 Kia EV6 is getting a slightly updated design. The electric SUV has more dramatic headlights with C-shaped LED running lights that wrap around to the fenders and are connected by a slim horizontal light, and a slightly reworked front fascia. The back of the 2025 EV6 has the same razor-thin taillights, but has a triangular piece at the bottom. Shoppers will notice that the sporty GT-Line trim gains updated front and rear bumpers to help them stand out compared to lower trim levels.
The interior of the 2025 Kia EV6 looks incredibly similar to the current model that’s on sale, though there are a few minor changes. The electric SUV features a new three-spoke steering wheel and an updated frame that houses the curved display for the instrument cluster and central screen. A digital rearview mirror and a fingerprint authentication system have been added to the EV6’s interior, as well. Kia has also fitted the EV6 with thicker B-pillars, second-row side airbags, and extra sound insulation around the rear electric motor.
While the 2025 Kia EV6 will continue to come with two 12.3-inch displays, the electric SUV comes with new software that brings wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility. Additionally, over-the-air software updates now extend beyond the car’s navigation system. The cabin also has a reshaped wireless charging pad to hold phones more securely.
2025 Kia EV6 Engine & Specs
The big news for the 2025 Kia EV6 is that the electric SUV now comes with larger battery packs that bring more range. The EV6’s previously optional 77.4-kWh battery pack has been replaced with a new 84-kWh battery pack. This should help increase the EV6’s range from its current figure of 310 miles to around 330 miles. The new battery pack can go from 10% to 80% charged in roughly 18 minutes when plugged into a 350-kW charger.
The 2025 EV6 is expected to come with the same engine options as the current model that’s on sale. The EV6 is currently available with a single electric motor on the rear wheels that makes 225 horsepower. All-wheel-drive models come with dual electric motors with 320 hp. The GT trim comes with dual electric motors that are rated at up to 576 hp.
2025 Kia EV6 Safety
Kia hasn’t confirmed standard safety features for the 2025 EV6 yet. The current electric SUV comes with automatic emergency braking, forward collision warning, pedestrian and cyclist detection, adaptive cruise control, a highway driving assist system, lane keeping assist, lane departure warning, rear cross-traffic alert, blind spot monitoring, a driver attention monitor, rear parking sensors, and automatic high-beam assist. These features are expected to be standard for 2025.
