2025 Kia Sportage What To Expect
With the Kia Sportage receiving a large overhaul for the 2023 model year, we expect the 2025 Kia Sportage to be a carryover model. Here’s what we expect to see with the 2025 Kia Sportage.
The 2025 Kia Sportage should continue to have the same design as the current compact SUV that’s on sale. The Sportage has distinctive exterior styling with C-shaped daytime running lights, a split grille design, and angular trim elements on the front fascia. The rear end of the Sportage has angular taillights, a small rear spoiler, and a black rear bumper with an angular trim piece that outlines the rear fascia.
The interior design of the 2025 Kia Sportage should match the current model. The SUV features a split dashboard that’s separated by a vertical air vent and two displays that are integrated in a single panel. Lower Sportage trims have physical controls, while higher trims have a thin row of touch-capacitive controls. Kia’s designers have integrated a number of the Sportage’s controls behind the gear shifter to be easy for the driver to access.
Standard tech features for the current Kia Sportage include an eight-inch touchscreen, a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, voice recognition, a USB port, six audio speakers, and Bluetooth. Higher Sportage models come with a 12.3-inch touchscreen, a Harman Kardon audio system, navigation, a wireless charging pad, and rear USB ports. These features should continue to be available for the 2025 Kia Sportage.
2025 Kia Sportage Engine & Specs
The current Kia Sportage is available with a wide range of engines, which we expect to go unchanged for 2025. The Sportage comes with a standard 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine that makes 187 horsepower. This engine is paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission. Front-wheel drive is standard and all-wheel drive is available.
The available Sportage Hybrid features a turbocharged 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine that’s paired with an electric motor for a total of 227 hp. The Sportage PHEV has the same powertrain as the hybrid model but is upgraded to make 261 hp. The electrified versions of the Sportage come with a six-speed automatic transmission.
2025 Kia Sportage Price
Kia has not announced pricing for the 2025 Sportage yet. Pricing for the current Sportage ranges from $28,565 to $39,365. The 2025 Sportage should remain close to the current model when it comes to pricing.
Competitors in the compact SUV segment include the Mazda CX-5, Hyundai Tucson, Subaru Forester, Ford Bronco Sport, Honda CR-V, Nissan Rogue, Toyota RAV4, Volkswagen Tiguan, Chevrolet Equinox, and Ford Escape.
