2025 Lucid Midsize What To Expect

Lucid cut the cost of its Air sedan to broaden the model’s appeal. Although they slashed Air prices significantly, Lucid’s most affordable offering is still just under $70,000. However, the California-based brand reportedly wants to enter the more affordable midsize SUV segment. There are more questions than answers at than answers at this point, but here’s what we know about the 2025 Lucid Midsize SUV so far.

According to Green Car Reports, Lucid announced their “Project Midsize” at a recent event. The EV brand just opened up a second manufacturing facility which will allow them to not only ramp up deliveries of the Air sedan and Gravity SUV but also expand their lineup.

Unfortunately, we don’t know much about the upcoming Lucid Midsize SUV. A prototype with seemingly similar proportions to the Tesla Model Y was shown at the event, albeit under a sheet. We don’t know what phase of the design process the midsize offering is currently in, but we’re expecting it to share the same distinctive streamlined aesthetic as the other Lucid models.

Unsurprisingly, specs are still a mystery at this point. We wouldn’t be surprised if we saw at least higher trims of the upcoming midsize SUV approaching 400 miles of driving range. The Tesla Model Y has a tight hold on the midsize EV SUV segment, but the Lucid could be a compelling choice if it bests the Tesla’s 310-mile range.

2025 Lucid Midsize SUV Price & Release Date

We’re expecting the Lucid Midsize SUV to start in the low $40,000 range, but we’ll have a better grasp of this when we know more about its specs and capability.

Lucid hasn’t offered a release date for their next offering yet. We’re tentatively referring to it as a 2025 model, but we might see it arrive as a 2026.

We’ll update this page as more information becomes available.
