What To Expect
The 2025 Mercedes-Benz CLE-Class will likely stand pat for its sophomore model year. The CLE-Class debuted last spring as a replacement for the compact C-Class and midsize E-Class coupes and convertibles. Mercedes-Benz will probably introduce high-performance AMG versions of the CLE-Class at some point, but we don’t expect them in time for the 2025 model year.
The four-seat CLE-Class coupe and soft-top convertible offer a choice of turbocharged engines and standard all-wheel drive. Interiors carry a 12.3-inch digital instrument display, heated power front seats, an 11.9-inch vertical touchscreen, and a 17-speaker Burmester sound system. Coupes feature a glass roof panel. Buyers can adjust the car’s personality for performance or luxury with a few key selections.
2025 Mercedes-Benz CLE-Class Engine & Specs
We expect no changes to the current CLE-Class engine roster. The standard turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder produces 255 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque. The available 3.0-liter V6 turbo generates 375 hp and 369 lb-ft of torque. Both engines feature mild hybrid assist and are paired with a nine-speed automatic transmission. All-wheel drive should remain standard throughout the lineup.
The four-cylinder CLE coupe is EPA-rated at 24 miles per gallon city, 34 mpg highway, and 28 combined. With the V6, efficiency drops just slightly to 23/33/26 mpg (city/highway/combined).
As for the CLE convertible, both engines carry the same rating: 23/32/26 mpg.
2025 Mercedes-Benz CLE-Class Safety
All CLE-Class models come with blind-spot monitoring, automatic high beams, drive alertness monitoring, and automatic emergency braking. Nearly everything else is bundled into a single option package, including adaptive cruise control, evasive steering assist, lane-change assist, traffic sign recognition, and front cross-traffic alert with automatic braking. The top Pinnacle trim also packs a head-up display.
The CLE-Class has not been tested by the major safety rating agencies yet. Ratings may be available in time for the 2025 model year.
2025 Mercedes-Benz CLE-Class Price
We expect 2025 CLE-Class pricing to reflect a modest inflationary increase. The four-cylinder coupe currently starts at $57,650 including destination, and V6 models are priced from $66,800. The CLE-Class convertible starts at $65,500.
The CLE-Class will compete with luxury coupes and convertibles like the Audi A5, BMW 4-Series, and Lexus RC.
2025 Mercedes-Benz CLE-Class Release Date
