Mercedes-BenzWhat To Expect

The 2025 Mercedes-Benz GLC-Class will gain a plug-in hybrid model that can reportedly travel up to 81 miles on electricity alone. The new GLC 350e joins the carryover GLC 300 and recently introduced AMG GLC performance models.

The GLC-Class continues in SUV and coupe body styles, although the 350e will come in SUV form only. The four-door coupe variant features a sloping roofline for a sportier appearance at some loss of cargo space and rear headroom. The two-row interior seats five and offers up to 56.3 cubic feet of cargo room in the SUV and 52.6 cubes in the coupe. The cockpit features a 12.3-inch instrument screen and an 11.9-inch vertical touchscreen, both with a floating design. All models incorporate electric propulsion, from mild assist to plug-in hybrid technology.

2025 Mercedes-Benz GLC-Class Engine & Specs

The GLC-Class will likely again start with the GLC 300, which carries a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine with mild hybrid assist and a nine-speed automatic transmission.

The AMG GLC 43 receives a hand-built 2.0-liter with an electrically assisted turbocharger and hybrid assist. Output jumps to 416 hp and 369 lb-ft of torque. The AMG treatment includes a performed-tuned AWD system and a wet-clutch nine-speed automatic. The AMG GLC 63 adds a rear electric motor and plug-in hybrid technology for a total of 671 hp and 752 lb-ft of torque.

The GLC 350e’s plug-in hybrid powerplant incorporates the GLC 300’s 2.0-liter turbo and an electric motor. System output comes to 313 hp and 406 lb-ft of torque. According to Mercedes-Benz, the GLC 350e has a potential electric range of 81 miles and can travel at speeds up to 87 mph on electric power.

2025 Mercedes-Benz GLC-Class Safety

We’re certain Mercedes-Benz will continue to offer a robust roster of driver-assistance features on the GLC-Class, including lane-keeping assist, blind-spot monitoring, driver attention monitoring, automatic high beams, automated parking, and automatic emergency braking. The mid-level Exclusive trim picks up surround-view cameras, and the top Pinnacle trim includes a head-up display.

For 2024, the GLC-Cass received the Top Safety Pick designation from IIHS.

2025 Mercedes-Benz GLC-Class Price

The GLC 300 currently starts at $48,600 including destination. We expect only a modest inflationary increase for 2025. Mercedes-Benz has yet to announce pricing on the 2024 AMG models, let alone the upcoming 2025s. We expect them to start at just over $70,000. The 2025 GLC 350e will likely be priced from around $60,000.

The GLC-Class competes with two-row luxury SUVs like the BMW X3Audi Q5, and the Genesis GV70.

2025 Mercedes-Benz GLC-Class Release Date

According to Mercedes-Benz, the 2025 GLC-Class will arrive at dealers in the second half of 2024.
