2025 Nissan Altima Preview Model Info & Release Date

What To Expect

2025 is rumored to be the last year for the Nissan Altima but we haven’t heard anything official. The last update for the Altima was a mid-cycle refresh in 2023 which brought a new nose and more standard features.

As the last iteration of the current Altima, the 2025 model should be close to the current model on sale. We don’t expect many design changes or any new tech to be added since the model may be calling it quits. We expect the nameplate to live on past 2026 as a hybrid or PHEV vehicle.

On the outside, the current Altima has a bold and sporty contemporary design which made its debut halfway through 2023. The sleek Nissan sedan won’t leave you wishing you were driving something else with its fun look and responsive engine. The 2025 Altima should continue to come with LED headlights and a remote start feature.

Inside every Altima should come standard with a 7-inch touchscreen, dual-zone automatic climate control, and cloth seats like the current car. Moving up the trim levels will get you more goodies like leather seats, a sunroof, navigation, and a 12.3-inch touchscreen.

2025 Nissan Altima Engine & Specs

We expect the Nissan Altima to be available in four trims for the 2025 model year. These trims should remain the same as last year’s S, SV, SR, and SL trims.

The family sedan seats five in relative comfort and packs decent trunk space as well. We expect the 2025 Altima to have the same engine choices as the current model on sale. The engine consists of a 2.5-liter four-cylinder unit which produces 188 horsepower and 180 lb-ft of torque. There’s also a 2.0 liter turbocharged four-cylinder which makes 248 hp and 273 lb-ft of torque.

2025 Nissan Altima Safety

We expect the 2025 Altima to have the same suite of safety features as the current model on sale including automatic emergency braking, a driver alertness monitor, automatic high beams, rear parking assist, road departure warnings, and blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert. Optional features such as lane-keeping assist and adaptive cruise control should remain available on higher trim levels.

2025 Nissan Altima Price

We expect the Nissan Altima to have a slightly higher price than the current model on sale.

The Nissan Altima competes against other sedans such as the Toyota CamryHonda AccordHyundai SonataSubaru Legacy, and the Kia K5.

2025 Nissan Altima Release Date

Based on previous release schedules, the 2025 Nissan Altima should arrive in showrooms in the fall of 2024.
