Nissan Kicks Preview
What To Expect
The 2025 Nissan Kicks is set to arrive with a full redesign for the new model year. The subcompact Kicks benefits from an all-new design, more standard features, an optional all-wheel-drive system, and a new powertrain. Here’s what we know about the 2025 Nissan Kicks.
On the outside, the 2025 Nissan Kicks has a far more daring design compared to the current generation that’s on sale. The new Kicks features a bold design with a chunky front end, cascading daytime running lights, and a distinctive grille.
Along the side, the Kicks showcases 8.4 inches of ground clearance (up 1.4 inches from the current model), a prominent body line that connects the headlights to the taillights, a blacked-out C-pillar, and modern wheel designs. The rear end of the Kicks has R-shaped taillights, a modest rear spoiler, a chunky rear bumper, and a portion of the liftgate that juts out.
The Nissan Kicks gets an updated interior design for 2025. The subcompact SUV has a tiered dashboard with dual screens that are integrated into a single trim piece, a flat-bottom steering wheel, and a row of physical controls on the bottom of the center console.
The center console is slightly angled toward the driver, while red accents liven up the cabin. The Kicks rides on a new platform that makes the SUV larger than before, but Nissan hasn’t confirmed official specs yet. We expect the 2025 Nissan Kicks to have more interior space than the current model.
Nissan hasn’t shared all of the 2025 Kicks’ features yet. The SUV will be available with a 12.3-inch touchscreen, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a Bose audio system, Bluetooth, and multiple USB ports.
2025 Nissan Kicks Engine & Specs
The 2025 Nissan Kicks will come with a 2.0-liter four-cylinder that makes 141 horsepower and 141 pound-feet of torque. This is the same engine that’s found in the Nissan Sentra. The engine is paired with a continuously variable automatic transmission. Front-wheel drive is standard and AWD is available for the first time on the SUV.
2025 Nissan Kicks Safety
The Nissan Safety Shield 360 suite of advanced safety features will be standard on the 2025 Nissan Kicks. Standard features will include automatic emergency braking, pedestrian detection, forward collision warning, rear automatic emergency braking, rear cross-traffic alert, blind spot monitoring, automatic high-beam assist, and lane departure warning. Adaptive cruise control is also standard. Nissan’s ProPilot Assist system will be optional.
2025 Nissan Kicks Price
Nissan hasn’t confirmed pricing for the 2025 Kicks yet. Pricing should increase compared to the current model that’s on sale. The current Kicks’ MSRP starts at $22,440.
Competitors in the subcompact segment include the Honda HR-V, Volkswagen Taos, Chevrolet Trailblazer, and Mazda CX-30.
