The 2025 Porsche Taycan is getting a mild refresh for the new model year. The Taycan arrives with updated exterior styling, updated electric motors, revised charging speeds, and renovated tech features. Here’s what we know about the 2025 Taycan.
Porsche has given the 2025 Taycan an updated exterior design. The all-electric car arrives with updated LED headlights, new front fenders, and a full-width light bar at the back. The high-performance Turbo S gains new vents at the sides of the rear bumper.
The overall design of the 2025 Porsche Taycan won’t radically change for the new model year. The all-electric car continues to have a sporty, modern, and high-tech look with large screens minimal physical controls, and athletic touches. The Taycan is available with a small stopwatch on the dashboard, a multi-function steering wheel, and heavily bolstered seats. The electric car comes with standard seating for four, but is available with an extra rear seat in the back to increase seating for up to five.
On the tech front, the 2025 Porsche Taycan continues to be available with numerous screens. The Taycan comes with a 10.9-inch central touchscreen, an 8.4-inch touchscreen, and a 16.8-inch digital instrument cluster. For 2025, the available 10.9-inch front passenger screen gets a new filter that only makes it visible from the passenger seat. The digital instruments have been redesigned, while new UI revisions have added extra Apple CarPlay integration. Porsche’s navigation system brings detailed routes.
2025 Porsche Taycan Engine & Specs
The 2025 Porsche Taycan gains updated electric motors. The base rear-wheel-drive Taycan continues to come with a single motor on the rear wheels but is now rated at 402 horsepower. The available Taycan Turbo S continues to come with dual electric motors with a combined output of up to 938 hp. Power figures for the rest of the Taycan lineup haven’t been confirmed yet.
In addition to coming with updated electric motors, the 2025 Taycan also has new battery packs. The standard pack is an 83.6-kWh unit, while the Performance battery is a 97-kWh unit. The battery packs have new chemistry that has allowed Porsche to make them lighter than before while retaining the same size. The Taycan should have more range, though Porsche hasn’t provided any specific figures yet.
Porsche has updated the Taycan’s charging speeds for 2025. The electric car can now charge at up to 320 kW when plugged into the correct DC fast charger.
2025 Porsche Taycan Safety
Standard safety features for the 2025 Porsche Taycan aren’t expected to change for the new model year. The electric car should continue to come with forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, lane keeping assist, lane departure warning, traffic sign recognition, and parking sensors.
Available features should include automatic high-beam assist, blind spot monitoring, a surround-view camera, remote park assist, adaptive cruise control, night-vision assist, and Porsche InnoDrive.

2025 Porsche Taycan Release Date
