Luxury SUV in 2025: Range Rover Evoque Sedan

Posted on

The 2025 Range Rover Evoque four-wheel-drive system and fancy interior convinced the wealthy it was fun to dip their diamonds in the mud. Now the company’s top model takes a new evolutionary step, entering the fully electric era as the 2025 Range Rover EV. While it looks nearly identical to the gas-powered Range Rover SUV, but the electric variant is said to be powered by multiple electric motors and the company says this powertrain will at least match the performance of the gas-powered V-8 model. Land Rover may have developed a four-motor setup with individual wheel control similar to what has debuted on the Mercedes-Benz G-Class EV, but we won’t know more until closer to the SUV’s on-sale date.

Apparently, there could be a new EV version of the Range Rover Evoque in the works. Based on its own EV platform. And it could look like this. Or not. I’m not sure what’s going on these days at Jaguar/Land Rover. The whole thing is still owned by Tata. The current CEO, Thierry Bollore, just resigned for personal reasons. His first move when he took over was to cancel the “almost-ready” new Jaguar EV sedan. (Thye had already published teasers) Pushing back any new Jaguar model for years. Bollore’s goal for the company was to make Jaguar an all-electric brand by 2025. So far, there is only one EV from Jaguar: The i-Pace. Which came out in 2018, and is quickly getting overshadowed by the newer competition.

Overall, we’re fans of the design and think it certainly suits the moniker, yet as we already told you, it is wishful thinking, and only a select few within Jaguar Land Rover know what the future has in store for the Range Rover Evoque. The CGI model in question shares little with the real thing and sports some exaggerated proportions with beefed-up fenders and new lines all around. The lighting units at both ends appear to be an evolution of the ones equipping the real crossover, and to make it look a bit more futuristic, it has also received new DRLS incorporated into the side vents of the new front bumper.

The current Evoque, the second generation of the nameplate, arrived in 2019 as a 2020 model. It means the update will likely constitute a mid-cycle refresh for the compact crossover. Look for it to be introduced next year on a 2025 Evoque. The Evoque’s Discovery Sport sibling should also be updated around the same time.

2025 Range Rover Evoque Price and Trims

Last year’s Evoque was offered in two trim levels: S and Dynamics SE, with prices ranging from $49,900 to $54,900. That is why we anticipate that the new Evoque 2025 will include the same trim models but at somewhat higher prices. According to projections, its price in 2025 might vary between $51,000 and $56,000. However, once the Company has revealed its true pricing and trims, we will update this article.
