What To Expect
The Volkswagen Atlas and Atlas Cross Sport are fresh off a significant refresh from the 2024 model year. Given the recent updates, it shouldn’t be surprising that the Atlas Cross Sport is set to arrive without any significant changes. Here’s what we know so far about the carryover 2025 Volkswagen Atlas Cross Sport.
The Atlas Cross Sport saw a major refresh for the 2024 model year, adding sleeker styling, more standard safety features, and a new engine. The 2025 model retains all of those new additions, with Volkswagen announcing the only exterior update for 2025 is the addition of two new colors, Mountain Lake Blue and Avocado Green. The Cross Sport mirrors the styling of the three-row Atlas and features an LED light bar that spans the headlights and grille.
This is also the case with the Cross Sport’s interior, which features faux leather upholstery, ambient lighting, heated and ventilated front seats, a heated steering wheel, and 10.3″ and 12″ digital displays. 15w wireless charging has been added as standard equipment on all trims for 2025.
The 2025 Atlas Cross Sport retains the turbocharged 2.0L four-cylinder that was introduced for the 2024 model year. It develops 269 hp and 273 lb-ft of torque, which is less power but more torque than the VR6 engine option that was previously available. No hybrid powertrains are offered.
Volkswagen‘s Light Assist adaptive headlights are now standard for 2025. Other standard safety and driver assistance features include automatic emergency braking, blind spot monitoring, and lane centering. Adaptive cruise control is an optional extra.

Volkswagen hasn’t announced a release date for the 2025 Atlas Cross Sport yet, but we’re expecting it in the latter half of this year.
