Audi A6
What To Expect
The Audi A6 e-tron is set to be one of the next electric models to join the brand’s lineup. Audi just revealed the upcoming Q6 e-tron SUV and the A6 e-tron will serve as its sedan counterpart when it hits the market. We’re still a ways away from the model’s official unveiling, but here’s what we know about the 2025 Audi A6 e-tron so far.
Audi first revealed the A6 e-tron concept in 2021, but we have yet to see the final product in an official capacity. However, spy shots from Motor Authority captured the A6 e-tron late last year. Although the EV was still a camouflaged prototype, the A6 e-tron bears a strong resemblance to the original concept. From what we can gather, the A6 e-tron features a similar silhouette to the gas-powered A7 liftback, albeit with thin headlights reminiscent of the ones found on the Q6 e-tron SUV.
We haven’t caught a glimpse of the A6 e-tron’s interior yet, but like the exterior, we expect it to mirror the Q6 e-tron’s cabin. The Q6 e-tron is centered around technology, with an 11.9″ digital gauge cluster, a 14.5″ touchscreen, and even an available 10.9″ touchscreen on the passenger side.
We’re also expecting the Q6 and A6 e-tron to share a powertrain. The Q6 e-tron features a dual-motor all-wheel drive layout, with a combined output of 456 hp from the two electric motors. Power is supplied by a 94.4 kWh battery pack that can support 800-volt charging. Range and performance figures for this powertrain aren’t out yet, but we may see a slight aerodynamic advantage for the A6 e-tron. We should see a high-performance S6 e-tron model as well.
2025 Audi A6 e-tron Price & Release Date
Audi hasn’t given an official release date for the A6 e-tron yet. We expect to see it later this year and are tentatively referring to it as a 2025 model.
Pricing has also yet to be announced. but we’re estimating the 2025 A6 e-tron will start at around $70,000.
The 2025 Audi A6 e-tron will compete with the Tesla Model S, Lucid Air, BMW i5, and the Genesis Electrified G80.
