What To Expect
The 2025 Acura TLX will likely be a carryover of the current model, which received a mid-cycle refresh for 2024. The update included a redesigned front fascia, larger interior displays, and improved sound deadening. The recent changes should be enough to keep the TLX rolling into another year.
The midsize TLX offers room for five and ample standard amenities, including a 12.3-inch touchscreen, leather seats, wireless charging, and a 10-speaker ELS sound system. Styling inside and out remains on the sporty end of the luxury sedan class. The TLX has a wide stance and low profile, complemented by an aircraft-inspired cockpit design.
We expect the TLX’s turbocharged engines to return for 2025. The standard 2.0-liter four-cylinder turbo generates 272 horsepower and 280 lf-ft of torque. Front-wheel drive is standard with the four-cylinder, and all-wheel drive is optional. The sporty Type S model gets AWD as standard and a 3.0-liter V6 turbo with 355 hp and 354 lb-ft of torque. Both engines use a 10-speed automatic transmission.
The standard drivetrain delivers an EPA-estimated 25 miler per gallon in combined driving. The Type S is rated at 21 mpg combined.
While hardly a recreational vehicle, the TLX can tow up to 2,000 pounds if the need arises.
2025 Acura TLX Safety
We’re certain Acura will offer a high level of standard safety technology on the 2025 TLX. The current model comes with adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assist, automatic high beams, blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, parking sensors, and automatic emergency braking.
The current TLX earns a five-star overall safety rating from NHTSA. The final results of IIHS testing are still pending, but the 2024 model has generally performed well in tests conducted so far.
2025 Acura TLX Price
The TLX will likely receive a nominal price increase a 2025. The current model’s pricing starts at $46,195 including destination and runs to $58,195 for the Type S.
2025 Acura TLX Release Date
Based on what we typically see from Acura, the 2025 TLX will arrive at dealers in November 2024. We’ll provide additional details on the upcoming TLX as they become available.
