What To Expect

The 2025 BMW 7-Series will gain a driving mode that sets the interior for relaxed cruising. When selected, the new Silent Mode automatically mutes the infotainment system, turns off the ambient lighting, lowers the sunshades, and minimizes the dashboard displays. We expect no other changes to BMW’s flagship sedan, which was last redesigned in 2023 and added a plug-in hybrid variant this year.

BMW’s largest and most prestigious sedan, the 7-Series offers abundant room for five and 19.1 cubic feet of trunk space. The curved dashboard display houses a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a 14.9-inch center touchscreen. Standard features include an adaptive air suspension, heated seats in all positions, quad-zone climate control, a power trunk lid, and power rear sunshades. Buyers can select from indulgent options like a 40-speaker Bowers & Wilkins sound system and a ceiling-mounted 31.3-inch entertainment screen.

2025 BMW 7-Series Engine & Specs

The current BMW 7-series model lineup will likely continue for 2025. The 740i carries a turbocharged 3.0-liter six-cylinder with 375 horsepower and 383 lb-ft of torque. The 760i packs a twin-turbo 4.4-liter V8 that develops 536 hp and 533 lb-ft of torque. Both engines feature 48-volt mild hybrid assist and are paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission. All-wheel drive is optional on the 740i and standard on the 760i

The plug-in hybrid 750e is powered by the 3.0-liter six-cylinder turbo and an electric motor. System output comes to 483 hp and 516 lb-ft of torque. The eight-speed automatic and all-wheel drive are standard. The 750e’s plug-in technology allows it to travel up to 35 miles on electricity alone.

2025 BMW 7-Series Safety

The current 7-Series comes loaded with standard driver-assistance features like blind-spot monitoring with evasive steering assist, parking sensors, a head-up display, adaptive headlights, automatic high beams, automatic emergency braking, and intersection left-turn assist. Options for the 7-Series include adaptive cruise control, automated parking, surround-view cameras, and a hands-free highway driving system.

2025 BMW 7-Series Price

With no major updates on the horizon, 2025 7-Series pricing will likely reflect only a modest inflationary increase. The current lineup starts at $97,395 including destination and climbs to $122,295 for the 760i.

The 2025 7-Series will square off against other full-size luxury sedans like the Audi A8Mercedes-Benz S-Class, and Porsche Panamera.

2025 BMW 7-Series Release Date

We expect the 2025 7-Series to arrive at dealers in fall 2024. We’ll update this page with further details on the upcoming 7-Series as they become available.
