What To Expect
The Ford Maverick has been a massive hit for Ford. While the automaker, reportedly, recently pushed back plans for an all-electric Maverick EV, the automaker could possibly introduce a refreshed model for 2025. Ford could even turn the Maverick into its own sub-brand, similar to what the automaker has done with the Mustang and Bronco. Here’s what we expect to see with the 2025 Ford Maverick.
A possible refresh could see the 2025 Ford Maverick’s design get updated. We don’t know what Ford has in store for the 2025 Maverick, but the compact pickup truck could arrive with updated headlights, a slightly revised grille, and a refreshed front fascia. At the back, a possible refresh could bring new taillights and an updated rear bumper.
We’re not sure what Ford has in store for a refreshed 2025 Maverick. The compact pickup truck could arrive with a slightly updated dashboard, new tech features, and extra convenience features. Ford could also introduce new interior color schemes.
The current Ford Maverick comes with an eight-inch touchscreen, a 4.2-inch display in the instrument cluster, a Wi-Fi hotspot, Bluetooth, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and six audio speakers. Ford could introduce larger screens as part of a refresh.
2025 Ford Maverick Engine & Specs
Ford offers the current Maverick with two engines, which we expect to remain the same for the 2025 model year. The Maverick comes with a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that makes 250 horsepower. The compact truck is available with a hybrid powertrain that combines a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine that’s paired with an electric motor. Output is rated at 191 hp.
Both powertrains come with front-wheel drive, while the base turbo engine is available with all-wheel drive. The turbocharged engine is paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission and the hybrid comes with a continuously variable automatic transmission.
2025 Ford Maverick Safety
We don’t think Ford will change the Maverick’s list of safety features for 2025. The current pickup truck comes with forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, and automatic high-beam assist. Available safety features include lane departure warning, lane keeping assist, blind spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, rear parking sensors, and adaptive cruise control.
2025 Ford Maverick Price
Information on how much the 2025 Ford Maverick will cost isn’t available yet. A refresh could see the pickup truck’s price increase. Pricing for the truck currently ranges from $25,410 to $39,945.
The only real competitor the Maverick has is the Hyundai Santa Cruz.
2025 Ford Maverick Release Date
We expect the 2025 Ford Maverick to arrive before the end of the year. More information on the compact pickup truck should become available within the next few months.
