What To Expect

Kia’s first foray into the truck segment is happening with the all-new 2025 Kia Tasman. The biggest question that remains for the new midsize pickup is whether or not it will land stateside.

The Tasman made its global debut on April 23, showing off its lines and body style in a funky artistic wrap. According to Autoblog, New Zealand-based artist Richard Boyd-Dunlop created the wrap to highlight what Kia refers to as the Tasman’s adventurous spirit.

The 2025 Kia Tasman is confirmed for South Korea, Australia, Africa, and the Middle East, but there is no confirmation of the truck coming to US shores.

From what we can see of the midsize truck, it has upright features, a rugged, boxy look with headlights pushed to the outer edges of the nose, and a four-slotted grille design, with an air dam below the bumper. The wheel arches and back bumper are clad in black plastic and the truck is adorned with roof rails.

The inside of the new Tasman truck has yet to be revealed. We assume it will have all the latest features and technologies found in today’s popular Kia models such as the Telluride and the EV9, but that the interior will retain the same practical and rugged styling that’s used on many trucks in the market.

2025 Kia Tasman Engine & Specs

As an international truck, the Tasman will likely feature Kia’s 2.2-liter 4-cylinder turbodiesel engine. However, this is not confirmed.

2025 Kia Tasman Price

At this time, there is no speculation as to the cost of the all-new pickup truck, as this is Kia’s first attempt at the vehicle.

The 2025 Kia Tasman should compete against other international model trucks such as the Ford RangerToyota Hilux, Mitsubishi Triton, and VW Amarok.

2025 Kia Tasman Release Date

The Kia Tasman is expected to land in early 2025, but we should have more information in the coming months. Stay tuned for updates as they occur.
