What To Expect
The 2025 Toyota Corolla Cross will likely be a carryover of the current design, though changes could be on the horizon for 2026. Toyota recently unveiled a refreshed Corolla Cross in Thailand with a new honeycomb grille, revised front lighting, and various interior upgrades. Toyota hasn’t stated whether the changes will transfer to the U.S. model. If they do, we expect the updated Corolla Cross will arrive as a 2026 model.
The subcompact Corolla Cross seats five and offers up to 66.8 cubic feet of cargo space, excellent capacity for this class. The interior carries an 8-inch touchscreen, a six-speaker sound system, and wireless smartphone mirroring. Major options include heated front seats, a power driver seat, a sunroof, and a power liftgate.
2025 Toyota Corolla Cross Engine & Specs
We don’t anticipate any powertrain changes for the Toyota Cross, even if the rumored refresh materializes for 2025. The standard 2.0-liter gas four-cylinder engine develops 169 horsepower and 150 lb-ft of torque. A continuously variable transmission (CVT) sends power to the front wheels. All-wheel drive is optional with the gas engine. The EPA rates front-drive models at 31 miles per gallon city, 33 mpg highway, and 32 combined. The combined rating drops to 30 mpg with AWD.
The available hybrid powerplant carries the same gas engine, supplemented by a pair of electric motors. Output increases to 196 hp and 152 lb-ft of torque. AWD is standard on all hybrid models. Efficiency improves to 45/38/42 mpg (city/highway combined).
The Corolla Cross can tow up to 1,500 pounds and offers 8.2 inches of ground clearance, enough for light off-road recreation.
2025 Toyota Corolla Cross Safety
The current Corolla Cross is an IIHS Top Safety Pick+ and earns a five-star overall safety rating from NHTSA. The roster of standard driver-assistance technology includes adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assist, automatic high beams, and automatic emergency braking. Most models also come with blind-spot monitoring, and the upper trims carry parking sensors and rear automatic emergency braking.
2025 Toyota Corolla Cross Price
Aside from the customary annual increase, pricing should remain close to 2024 levels. The Corolla Cross currently starts at $24,960 including destination and tops out at $29,185. The Corolla Cross Hybrid ranges from $29,320 to $32,505.
