What To Expect

With Mazda introducing the CX-70 as an all-new vehicle for 2025, we expect the upcoming 2026 Mazda CX-70 to be a carryover model. Here’s what shoppers can expect to see with the 2026 Mazda CX-70.

As a carryover model, the design of the 2026 Mazda CX-70 isn’t expected to change compared to the current model that’s on sale. The current CX-70 has a sporty, upscale design with a rounded front fascia, a large oval grille, small triangular headlights, and vertically oriented trim pieces on the front bumper. At the back, the CX-70 has a small rear spoiler, elongated taillights, and a simple rear bumper with a hidden rear exhaust outlet.

We don’t expect Mazda to make any changes to the Mazda CX-70’s interior design for 2026. The current CX-70 features a premium interior design with a tiered dashboard, a large central screen that’s nestled into the dash, and a slim row of physical controls. Mazda offers the current CX-70 with high-end materials, while an available two-tone design gives the midsize SUV a more upscale look. Unlike the CX-90 that it’s based on, the CX-70 has two rows of seating instead of three.

On the tech front, the 2026 Mazda CX-70 should come with the same tech features as the current model that’s on sale. The CX-70 comes with a 12.3-inch display, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Bluetooth, eight audio speakers, a wireless charging pad, and a seven-inch digital instrument cluster. A Bose 12-speaker audio system, a head-up display, a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, and navigation are optional.

2026 Mazda CX-70 Engine & Specs

Mazda offers the current CX-70 with three different engines, which we expect to go unchanged for the 2026 model year. The base 2026 CX-70 should continue to come with a turbocharged 3.3-liter six-cylinder engine that makes 280 horsepower and 332 pound-feet of torque. CX-70 S models come with a tuned version of the engine that makes 340 hp and 369 lb-ft of torque.

The CX-70 is available with a plug-in hybrid engine that consists of a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine and an electric motor. The PHEV is rated at 323 hp and 369 lb-ft of torque. All CX-70 models come with an eight-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive.

2026 Mazda CX-70 Safety

When it comes to safety features, the 2026 Mazda CX-70 should come with the same features as the current CX-70. Forward collision warning, adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking, lane keeping assist, lane departure warning, rear cross-traffic alert, a rearview camera, and a driver attention monitor should be standard. Available safety features should include a surround-view camera, blind spot monitoring, rear parking sensors, traffic sign recognition, front cross-traffic alert, and rear automatic emergency braking.

2026 Mazda CX-70 Price

Mazda has not announced pricing for the 2026 CX-70 yet. The current model’s MSRP ranges from $41,900 to $58,905. Without any major expected changes, the 2026 CX-70 should be priced similarly to the current SUV that’s on sale.

Competitors are found in the Jeep Grand CherokeeVolkswagen AtlasHonda PassportFord EdgeChevrolet Blazer, and Kia Sorento.

2026 Mazda CX-70 Release Date
