What To Expect

Although there’s been speculation that 2024 might be its last model year, the 2025 Cadillac XT6 is poised to continue unchanged, except for the usual shuffling of colors and package content. Here’s what you need to know about the 2025 Cadillac XT6.

According to GM Authority, the XT6 was expected to be phased out along with Cadillac’s other internal combustion models ahead of the brand’s goal of going all-electric by 2030. Its fate seemed particularly in doubt as no mid-cycle refreshes or second-generation prototypes have been announced. However, order guide data from GM revealed no significant changes for the 2025 XT6, meaning that the SUV as we know it should live on for at least the 2025 model year.

The three-row XT6 fills the gap between the two-row XT5 and full-size Escalade SUV in the Cadillac lineup. The XT6 seats up to seven and can handle up to 78.7 cubic feet of cargo. The interior starts with an 8-inch touchscreen, a Bose sound system, and heated power front seats. A panoramic sunroof is also standard. Buyers can select from an array of luxury and performance upgrades, including semi-aniline leather upholstery and an adaptive sport suspension.

2025 Cadillac XT6 Engine & Specs

We expect no changes to the XT6’s powertrains for its final year on the market. The base Luxury trim carries a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that develops 235 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque.

The mid-level Premium Luxury and line-topping Sport gets a 3.6-liter V6 with 310 hp and 271 lb-ft of torque. All-wheel drive is standard on the Sport and optional on the other trims. All models use a nine-speed automatic transmission.

When equipped with the V6 engine, the XT6 is rated to tow up to 4,000 pounds.

2025 Cadillac XT6 Safety

The current XT6 covers all the bases when it comes to driver-assistance technology. Standard equipment includes lane-keeping assist, a following distance indicator, automatic high beams, automatic emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, a vibrating safety alert in the driver seat, and front and rear parking sensors.

Beyond that, Cadillac offers more advanced features like adaptive cruise control, reverse automatic braking, a head-up display, and the SuperCruise hands-free highway driving system.

2025 Cadillac XT6 Price

We expect 2025 XT6 pricing will be close to the current model, reflecting a modest inflationary increase only. The 2024 XT6’s pricing starts at $51,190 including destination and reaches $61,690 for the Sport model before options.

The XT6 competes with luxury three-row crossovers like the Lincoln AviatorAcura MDXLexus TX, and Volvo XC90.

2025 Cadillac XT6 Release Date

Based on the current production schedule, we expect the 2025 XT6 to hit dealers in June 2025. We’ll update this page with more details on the upcoming XT6 as they become available.
