2025 Chevrolet Colorado Redesign, Price, and Pictures

Posted on

The 2025 Chevrolet Colorado will represent the third model year for the midsize pickup truck’s third generation, for which it we expect it to receive several minor changes and updates. These changes will follow the 2023 Colorado, which received a complete overhaul (re-engineering and redesign) for the nameplate’s third generation, as well as the 2024 Colorado, which saw minor changes headlined by the introduction of the Colorado ZR2 Bison Edition.

2025 Chevrolet Colorado

The Chevrolet Colorado is a mid-size pickup truck that has been a popular choice for drivers since its inception in 2004. With its durability, versatility, and flair, the Chevy Colorado has proven to be a dependable vehicle for both personal and business use.

2025 Chevrolet Colorado Redesign

We expect the 2025 Chevrolet Colorado to bring minor changes, including new exterior colors, possible an interior colorway, and hopefully a higher-end Trail Boss variant. See a complete list of 2025 Chevrolet Colorado changes, updates and new features (link coming soon).

Chevy Colorado Exterior

The 2025 Chevrolet Colorado will get a more aggressive exterior design, including a powerful grille and slim headlights. The truck’s body will also be more aerodynamic, including a sloping hood and a reduced ride height. The truck’s rear will sport a new tailgate design with a built-in spoiler for improved aerodynamics.

The current Colorado truck has a powerful exterior design, with prominent body creases, durable body armor, and increased ground clearance. The front fascia has a distinct design, with a prominent grille bisected by the Chevy symbol, square-shaped headlamps, and a sturdy front bumper. Meanwhile, Colorado’s rear end is boxy, with integrated stairs in the bumper and an optional storage compartment in the tailgate.

The Colorado only offers a one configuration: double cab with a 5-foot, 2-inch bed. That’s a bit longer than the Tacoma’s 5-foot option, but Toyota also offers a 6-foot bed option, and you can get a single cab if that’s all you need. The Colorado does have a significant advantage over the Tacoma in interior space, though.

Chevy Colorado Colors

The 2025 Chevrolet Colorado will come in a variety of hues, including Black, Crush, Pacific Blue Metallic, Sand Dune Metallic, and Summit White. There will also be a few special edition colors available, including Satin Steel Metallic and Cherry Bomb Tintcoat.

2025 Chevrolet Colorado Engine

Unlike the previous-gen pickup, all examples of the 2025 Colorado use versions of the same 2.7-liter turbocharged I-4 and the same eight-speed automatic. With most trims, RWD is standard and 4WD is available for an extra charge. The entry-level WT and LT trims get a tune of the turbo-four developing 237 hp and 259 lb-ft of torque. Those trucks achieve 18-20/23-25 mpg (depending on if you go for RWD or 4WD). The rest of the range gets a version of the 2.7-liter I-4 producing 310 hp and 430 lb-ft of torque, which Chevy calls the TurboMax. Fuel economy drops to around 17/21 mpg (or as low as 16/16 mpg in a ZR2) and we’ve tested 0-60 mph acceleration taking 6.0-6.9 seconds depending on the trim).

Chevy Colorado MPG

Chevrolet offers multiple flavors of off-roader with the 2025 Colorado, but the ZR2 Bison is by far the spiciest. Buyers get Multimatic spool-valve dampers front and rear, five steel skidplates, huge 35-inch tires, steel bumpers, and 12.2 inches of ground clearance. You can get a bed-mounted spare tire carrier, too, and the front bumper is ready for your favorite winch. This thing cannot be stopped.

2025 Chevrolet Colorado Price and Trims

Buyers shopping for a 2025 Colorado have lots of choices. Trims include the WT, LT, Trail Boss, Z71, and ZR2, and for our cash, the Trail Boss seems like a good middle ground. The Z71 and ZR2 are deserving of their higher price points, but the Trail Boss gives buyers the lifted suspension, 32-inch all-terrain rubber, rear limited-slip differential, off-road modes, and recovery points with a basic fabric interior to keep costs down.
