The 2026 Polestar 6, inspired by the majestic O2 design car, will be the next luxury halo sports car from the electric car maker. The 6 relies on the same metal platform as the upcoming 5 luxury sedan, although it has a shorter folding roof and four smaller doors. It also has a minimalist interior design that has now become the brand’s signature.
What’s New for 2026?
The Polestar 6 will be an all-new vehicle, as well as the brand’s first convertible, and will go on sale in 2026. So far, we’ve just seen a concept, but expect to learn more about the production model closer to the car’s release date.

Photos of the concept car show that the 2026 Polestar 6 will adhere to the brand’s minimalist interior design philosophy. In the design of the automobile, a squared-off steering column frames an insignificant digital assessed show, while crisp, straight shapes provide the instrument panel an extra-wide appearance. A huge storage cubby spans the length of the center console, with a single knob for communicating with the multimedia system situated forward of the armrest.
2026 Polestar 6 Engine
The 2026 Polestar 6, an electric vehicle manufacturer, announced Tuesday that it is expanding its inventory with an 884-horsepower hard-top convertible with recycled polyester upholstery. but it has stated it’s going to inherit the Polestar 5 sedan’s 800-volt electric building, particularly with an 884-hp dual-motor electric engine. Based on Polestar, this should offer enough speed to reach 62 mph in 3.2 seconds.

Polestar 6 Safety Features
Polestar has not announced the safety features of the Polestar 6 for 2026, and we have only seen the concept. We can expect next-generation driver-assistance features such as autonomous driving mode, standard automated emergency braking with pedestrian detection, standard lane-departure warning with lane-keeping assist, and standard adaptive cruise control with semi-autonomous driving mode based on Polestar’s previous vehicle.
2026 Polestar 6 Price
Polestar, which will make its Nasdaq debut in June 2026, has ambitious expansion goals. Polestar hasn’t revealed pricing for the Polestar 6, but we estimate it will be $100,000 more expensive than the more practical version in the automaker’s electric lineup.

Warranty and Maintenance Coverage
Polestar, in general, provides a basic warranty plan that is comparable to Tesla, albeit it does not provide any complimentary scheduled maintenance as Tesla does. Polestar has not yet published their warranty and maintenance coverage for the 2026 Polestar 6, but based on their previous offerings, we can expect at least: a four-year or 50,000-mile limited warranty; electrical components covered for eight years or 100,000 miles; and no complimentary scheduled maintenance.
