Posted on

The 2025 Lotus Emeya is Sports car specialist Lotus is branching out to the luxury electric-sedan segment with an upcoming four-door model called Emeya. Expected to challenge other sporty EV sedans, such as the Audi e-tron GT and the Porsche Taycan, the Emeya is said to offer an electric powertrain with enough punch to hit 62 mph in just 2.8 seconds. We’re confident Lotus can leverage its pedigree for phenomenal chassis tuning and deliver handling that will make the Emeya seriously fun to drive.

Lotus’ history of primarily sports cars and roadsters turns a corner with Geely now signing the checks. The Chinese multinational wants to turn the brand into a bigger moneymaker, and as such has ambitious goals to ramp up production and build only electrics by 2028. The new Emeya fits into that picture as the company’s first all-electric four-door grand tourer.

The Evija hypercar and Eletre SUV showed the world that Lotus could do all-electrics. That continues with the Emeya four-door GT, a sleek sedan with more than a passing resemblance to the Eletre. Emeya competitors include the Tesla Model S and Audi E-Tron GT.

Lotus Emeya Interior

A host of premium materials line the cabin, including faux-suede upholstery, nappa leather, and genuine aluminum trim pieces. While the Emeya debuted with a four-seat layout with rear bucket seats.
