With the Seltos in need of a full redesign because of its age, reports indicate that a full redesign is coming for the 2026 model year. Kia hasn’t confirmed that a redesign is coming for the Seltos and information on the redesign is scarce. Here’s what we know about the 2026 Kia Seltos.
The 2026 Kia Seltos should arrive with a new design. We expect the subcompact SUV to gain a more rugged design that matches some of Kia’s newer vehicles like the Sorento, Sportage, and Carnival. The Seltos should also grow in size, as the current trend is for SUVs to consistently get larger with every redesign.
On the inside, a full redesign will see the 2026 Kia Seltos gain an all-new look. The design of the subcompact SUV should be more modern than the current SUV that’s on sale. We expect the redesigned Seltos to share a similar design with some of Kia’s other vehicles on sale.
A full redesign should see the 2026 Kia Seltos come with more advanced tech features. The current model comes with a 4.2-inch driver information display, an eight-inch touchscreen, Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, three USB ports, and six audio speakers as standard.
2026 Kia Seltos Engine & Specs
The current Kia Seltos is available with two different powertrains. A 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine that makes 146 horsepower is standard and a turbocharged 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine that’s rated at 195 hp is available. The base engine is paired with a continuously variable automatic transmission and the turbo engine comes with an eight-speed automatic transmission. Front-wheel drive is standard and all-wheel drive is available.
We don’t know if Kia will keep these engines or offer the 2026 Seltos with an updated powertrain lineup.

A full redesign should bring more advanced safety features to the 2026 Kia Seltos. The current SUV comes with forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking, pedestrian detection, lane departure warning, lane keeping assist, automatic high-beam assist, and a driver attention monitor.

A fully redesigned 2026 Kia Seltos should see the SUV’s price go up compared to the current model that’s on sale. Current Seltos pricing ranges from $25,865 to $31,465.
Competitors in the subcompact SUV segment include the Honda HR-V, Volkswagen Taos, Hyundai Kona, and Mazda CX-30.
